More Details . . . .
Now that the shock of heading home has worn off I am able to think things through more clearly. I wish I could say that the hours I spent in front of a map and our calendar yesterday were extremely fruitful, but alas, those hours saw merely the buds of fruit appear. We have a rough idea of where we will be and when, but we are waiting on some input from you. We would really like to connect with all of you. Please e-mail us, calistro@southamericamission.org, and let us know more-or-less when we should or should NOT head your way. We will be needing temporary housing as we travel around and will need to find a car upon our arrival in CT. Please pray for all the details to work out. Organizing this furlough is way out of my skill set. Please be praying along with us.

Heading North of the Equator
Well, the internet has been non-existant to spotty at best. I am thankful tonight for a few minutes of signal. The last few weeks are all a blur. About a month ago we had a regional motocross race here in Pucallpa. 4 of our 7 family members raced. It was a great way to spend Easter Sanday. Many friends and aquaintances came down from Tarapoto and Tocache to join the fun. Julio shared the Gospel. It was great.
Two weeks later Julio (and his oldest daughter, Camila), and Christian (along with Gabe) packed up the truck and took the men’s bikes to Tarapoto for the regional race up there. It was a wonderful time. They had the opportunity to share the Gospel there and an older man accepted the Lord after requesting prayer for his son in the hospital. Time was spent encouraging Gaston and Sara and getting to know our Motocross friends better. God is a work in the lives of many in Tarapoto. We are praying and seeking the Lord for the right timing for working there.
Speaking of timing . . . . we are headed back to the States in 4 weeks. This decision may seem sudden but it has been a long time in the making. We have been struggling financially and we have managed to hang on til the end of the school year (school ends May 31). We fly to Lima on June 6, and then onto the States the 7th and arrive in CT on the 8th. We will be in the U.S. for 9 months. We are looking forward to spending precious time with our family, friends, and supporters. We have different cultural and church planting courses to attend in different parts of the country – so we plan to be on the road a lot.
We want to be able to visit with everyone. We will do our best to be in communication with everyone – but please, contact us to make sure we coordinate schedules and we won’t miss you while we are in your state. We have much to figure out right now – housing while in CT and MI, buying a car . . . . if you have any ideas, leads, houses to rent – please let us know. God is doing amazing things here, amazing things in us, and we are excited to hear from you what has been happening in your lives. See you all very soon!
